The disadvantage is that you'll get no item, and certainly the food cost is maintained. Schools have been implemented in Eternal Lands, so that now they give double experience when practising inside them. Suggest you take a unicorn medallion with this weapon to make up for not wearing a shield. This does disallow you to carry a shield with you, thus making you easier hit by the monster/player you're fighting. They are also the only 2-handed weapon in the game. Staffs: A nice weapon, gives you an increase in accuracy, defense and critical to hit, but lowers your critical to damage rate. If you use them, a moon med for the accuracy is suggested and a steel shield to make up for the defense penalty. Their damage may be high BUT they also decrease your defense, accuracy and critical to hit/damage. But it is highly suggested you use another weapon then an axe. Hammers: Like the axes, these weapons deal great damage. Suggest you use a moon med for the accuracy if you're wielding an axe. Also watch out for the little defense penalty they give you. It is very hard to hit someone using axes, but they score nice hits which make up for the lower hit rate. Their damage reaches great heights and makes them a weapon to be afraid of. It is suggested your use swords for a high accuracy and hit rate.Īxes: The highest damage dealt in EL (not counting magic weapons) is dealt by axes.
Next to that they also add to your defenses. Swords: Swords increase accuracy and damage, also increase the chance of scoring a critical hit. If fighting monsters or PKing you probably like to do a decent amount of damage or just start off by hitting it already. A brick in the wall, a stone in the ground. They are not placed in any logical way, and that requires the player to either be told about the secret place by a merciful player, either run around clicking on anything they see. * Locating secret places and C2 can also drive anybody nuts. 3 races are free, but for the other 3 races you DO have to pay (let's not call it donate, donating is voluntary, and this is not the case). * The possibility to customize your character is very limited.

Many players complain about this, but no solution is given. * The market system in Eternal Lands is completely out of control. Some more ages, nevertheless, are required to harvest items. Not because it is slow, which it is, but because it takes ages of dumbily sitting and clicking the "use" button to mix, blend, create, and some more other ages to run around clicking on creatures, hopping to hit your target (as I mentioned before, a nervebreaking task). * The levelling system in Eternal Lands is problematic. * Movement in Eternal Lands is slooow, and running is (of course) not possible. * The isometric view gets very annoying, specially if you have to scroll in and out and left and right, to guess where your target is among tons of tree branches, and hit it. *Not so many creatures/monsters, so that spawns are always crowded. * If you die, you lose part of your stuff. For all those things you DO have to pay a fee. * FREE? Unless you want: A cool race, a bot, a guild, certain items that almost never appear in game. * The developers are the personification of ARROGANCE, and treat their player base like SHIT! * EL is forever and ever under development.
